I was so excited today, bought Miss Roben's Sugar cookie roll and

cut mix to make and decorate with my two year old. We each took a

beater to lick the batter- yuck!!! It tasted like cardboard. I am

sooo disappointed. Can anyone help with a quick fix, we need to make

and decorate cookies today or tomorrow so we have them ready for

Santa!

Thanks, Becky

I've made several GF recipes that tasted " yuck " before baking but were

pretty good afterward, so all hope is not lost. ;-)

If you still have the dough unbaked, try adding some vanilla, lemon or

almond extract, 1 to 2 tsp, and an extra TBSP of sugar. And then use

really tasty icing and lots of sprinkles on them.

I use the recipe from Roben Rybergs cookbook and it is very good and pretty

easy. With the frosting, you, can't even tell the difference from regular

gluten sugar cookies.
