Guest guest
Hi everyone, had his last adjustment today. I was told to take off his band next Friday. We have an appt the following Wed for the exit cast and pics. I am so glad we are able to squeeze one more week out of this band. I still feel like we can get a little more correction in his forehead. I am so excited that this 'journey' is almost over, but at the same time I am also very nervous. I have hardly slept the last few nights. I have no idea why I am so nervous. I guess I am worried he could regress, although I know that only like 1% regress. is so active now, he hardly spends any time on his back. He even sleeps on his tummy for the most part. I don't know. Has anyone else felt this way at the end of treatment? Thanks!! Jill and (8 3/4 mos, DOC 5/20) Dallas
Guest guest
Hi Jill…That’s great that will be done so soon. I can understand your nervousness. I repo’ed my but even now that she is 10 mo old and spends virtually no time on her back (she sleeps on her tummy as well) I still worry when I see her on her back or on the side that was flat. I think it might be a while before we are able to see them putting pressure on their heads w/o worrying, but I just chalk it up to being a good and watchful mommy. Let us know how his last visit goes… Becky (’s mom) in Pgh, PA Only one week left!!! Hi everyone, had his last adjustment today. I was told to take off his band next Friday. Guest guest
Congrats! I cannot wait to see the before and after photos! I don't know if this will help you, but my Neuro. said by 9 months their skull has gotten less pliable. Even though children get great correction wearing bands well up to 1-2 years old, he says regression would be almost impossible. Good luck and try to get some rest!
