Guest guest
Sounds like you are really on your way to getting treatment for Jake! That's great. My son has a local helmet, but reading on the Orthomerica website (Makers of the Starband) it looks like they do have a helmet that treats scaphy, called a STARlightâ„¢ Bivalved. You might check their website to learn more about it. Here's the link: http://www.orthomerica.com/products/cranial/starlightbivalve.htm Connor (PPO helmet 5/4/04) --- In Plagiocephaly , " vermontmoms " <vermontmoms@y...> wrote: > Hello again, > > First I want to say thanks to all of you for the great info I have > received in such a short time. Guest guest
Yes Orthomerica does have a " helmet " to treat scaphy but it is relatively new. I would certainly check the experience of the ortho who would be treating a Scaphy headshape using the STARLight. Guest guest
Hi Jen, I see you've already been given great info on the Star vs. DOCband. I think if you do end up needing a bivalve and want to look into the STARband, I'd definitely ask if the ortho has experience w/that particular helmet, not just the STARband in general. As far as STARband locations closer to you, I know there is NOPCO in Massachusetts and I'm not sure what else. Have you tried emailing Mark at deeman12342001 ? He did lots of research in your general area. His son wore a DOCband this past fall. WHen is your CT appt? , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > Hello again, > > First I want to say thanks to all of you for the great info I have > received in such a short time.
