Guest guest Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Thanks Michele, Tim did contact me and while he isn't at the U of M, he is familiar with the docs there--so we are in communication on this topic. Thanks for bringing this up. I did talk to the NP at the ENT office this morning and she said that sometimes we just have to " accept " that a child has chronic fluid drainage and that it won't cause a hearing loss because she has tubes. I did bring up the examples from our group and I'm sure the eyes were rolling! However, when I told her that she would be nuts it this was her child (near normal hearing now, but perhaps not later), she got it. I'm not sure where this will go but I do know that being on this listserv has made me a stronger person who feels a U of M football stadium of support behind me. I can't find the words to express how happy I am to have found all of you. I want to meet all of you and your little munchkins!! > > > > > Martha, > > > > I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan--lots of great docs are here at the U > > of M where Carmen is followed. Guest guest Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 The support of knowing that you are not alone and that your line of thinking makes sense is priceless. It is much harder to stand up to any authority if you feel that you are acting completely on your own and if you aren't even certain that your logic is in order. I feel the strength of our CHARGE army behind me at every meeting, appointment, etc. Michele W wrote: > > Thanks Michele, > > Tim did contact me and while he isn't at the U of M, he is familiar > with the docs there--so we are in communication on this topic. > Thanks for bringing this up.
