Guest guest
Hi, Armour comes in 1/4 grain tabs. and 1 grain tabs. I buy both, then when I need to increase, I just take an additional 1/4. I order from anti-aging co. I used to cut up pills too, they would fly all over the place. Good luck, S. > Thanks for the replies and advice on my predicament. Guest guest
Hi there . You're on your way, girl! I have no doubt that when she told you that your free T3 was fine, she had NO idea what she was talking about. If you use labs, you will want your free T3 to be near, at, or slightly above the top of the range in order to be optimally dosed. And , that will mean that your TSH will fall to one and LESS. But that's ok. It will NOT mean you are hyper. Another way to self-treat is to dose by symptoms. When you eventually get to the point that you feel that you have regained great energy, a good basal temp, and all your other symptoms are gone, you are probably where you need to be. Then, just for jollys, you can get labs and see where they are!! I personally would start on the 3/4 and see how I do for no more than week. Then, as you mentioned, I would go to 3/4 grain twice a day i.e 1 1/2 grains. And stay on that for several weeks and see where it gets you symptom-wise. Remember that I was on .125, and my optimal dose of Armour is 2 3/4 grain, and I am trying out 3 grains. So you may end up getting higher than 1 3/4 grain as your optimal dose. Yes, take selenium. L-tyrosine is good for conversion. And other folks mention Vit. C and zinc. You definitely want to be on a good B- vitamins supplement--your body will require more as you get healthier. And don't forget the minerals, etc. There is a good article in the FILES on supplements from the Lowe's. Keep us informed. Guest guest
, If you use a small pharmacy you might try talking to the pharmacist and explain that you need to divide your dose or that the 3 grain is too much and ask him if he can refill it with smaller tabs. I use a small town pharmacy and he always works with me.....sometimes even give a few antibiotics...but don't tell anybody. It's worth a try. Also, what was the link for? I think it may have been me but it was so many posts ago, I can't remember. Blessings, Debbie K. -----Original Message----- From: Bellah Anyway I've decided to try the self medicating route- unfortunately I'd already filled the 3 grain script I got before I found this group. So I just split them in fourths, giving me 4 pieces at 3/4 The link that was provided in someone's reply was http://tinyurl.com/24t27 and it didn't work, could you send it again? Sorry I don't remember who is who yet- thanks to all who
Guest guest
> Hello , How are you doing.. I am Keisha. I also am taking the advice and spilting my meds and stuff like that- I also got my 60mg of Armour before I read about spliting the doage, so I had to cut my pillsNever in my life will I do that again... Hi, Keisha, I got a pill splitter from Wal-mart that works great - no crumbling! And I can't remember how much it was exactly, but it was only 2 or 3 dollars, not bad. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to split their pills but has a hard time with crumbling. Gentle
