Guest guest
Hi, I want to make my son a birthday cake out of nut flour... we currently bake with Almond flour but I will glady be happy with another nut flour recipe. He turns 3 in two weeks. Does anyone know of a nut flour birthday cake recipe? Thanks,
Guest guest
, I think the favorite choice is the peanut butter cake recipe. Look on pecanbread.com for it. http://www.pecanbread.com/recipes.html Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 13 months
Guest guest
The peanut butter cake is fabulous. I have made the 14 date cake, which is quite good as well, but much more complicated. It does look a lot like chocolate cake, but doesn't taste like chocolate to me. But my kids loved it. There is also a lemon cake recipe. I didn't care for it too much, but my boys liked it. I can post the 14 date or lemon cake recipe if either one sounds appealing. If your child would accept a cupcake instead of a large cake, you could use any of the muffin recipes (either in BTVC or on pecanbread.com). We did this one year for my nephew whose food allergies are completely opposite of what my kids can have. I made a bunch of cupcakes and sat them on a circular tray. I put those little paper umbrellas on the ones on the outer circle and I put candles on the inner ones. (We had a tropical themed party.) That way, my boys ate cupcakes they could have and my nephew had one he could eat and everything was " even " ...LOL.
