Guest guest
Bumping to draw attention to my questions as opposed to just announcing our helmet! Guest guest
Mish, I know the group member with banded babies will reply with more helpful information about the carseat, but I just wanted to post really quickly with the only link in the repo links section specifically marketed for carseat neck support. Here it is: Safety Ride " N " Rest The Safety Ride " N " Rest is a " one of a kind " patented, cushy, head support designed to attach to infant and children's car seats. This " Mom Invented " pillow eases the strain on baby's delicate neck muscles and supports them comfortably while they sleep. http://shop.store./shopsourceone/colinsafridn.html They have a small and large size, and a video link at the bottom of the page if you want to see how it's used. Maybe you could modify it somehow so the " wings " on the sides aren't so long. I do know that any modification of a carseat can compromise the level of safety that the carseat offers, so I'm hoping other group members will reply with some of the ideas that worked for them! Good luck, and let us know how things work out, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > > Well, we have it. Colin is wearing it now. It is alot of coverage > > versus some of the bands I see. Guest guest
Gosh Mish, I'm sorry that I don't have advice but I never had an issue with Aidan's band while in the carseat. His wasn't terrible huge so it didn't weigh his head forward or anything. Sorry, Natasha > > Well, we have it. Colin is wearing it now. It is alot of coverage > > versus some of the bands I see. Guest guest
You make a good point by saying " huge " ! My kids are both very tall, and it may be his head is so high on the seat already that gravity pulls him forward more easily. I recall my dd also pulling her head away from the seat. They are light relative to their height, so are in the carrier seat longer than some babies of similar height. I might just need to switch to the regular carseat, which has some pads and accessories to adjust the head fit, anyway. Of course that means having to transfer more if he falls asleep, but that is better for his head anyway. He really does not do much car napping. Thanks for that comment and making me think a bit harder. We are on the high end of the level too. We would still be level with a small tipping back of the seat. I will try that first. mish > > > Well, we have it. Colin is wearing it now. It is alot of > coverage > > > versus some of the bands I see.
