NO they are not. The ice cream is, but the crumblies in the middle are not. If you have a carvel near you, you can special order one without them. However, if you are going to buy one in a supermarket you are out of luck.

Do you have a Ben & Jerry's near you? They will do a GF one without the brownie layer in the middle, or may even use your GF brownie you provide.

My Carvel allowed me to bring in my own cookie crunchs that they put in the middle of our cake. You have to order it ahead of

time of course. But it was delicious, we broke up the Mi-Del Chocolate Cookie Sandwich.

Wow...you are lucky. We don't have a Carvel. Only in the supermarkets...but, then again, we are the home to Ben & Jerry's, so I guess that's fair! ;-)

Easy to make. Soften ice cream. Bake any kind of cake you wish, divide it into, and add the ice cream. Frost with Duncan Hines frosting and decorate. Then freeze the cake until ready to serve. Theresa
