Guest guest
Doris How sweet of you, to fill in as a grandmother. When my son was in kindergarten a close friend went for grandparent's day because my Mom was in a wheelchair and unable to go and his other grandmother worked, his grandfather lives in land, and my Dad died before he was born. It was a memorable day as Uncle Lenny had very long gray hair that he wore in a ponytail and he told the kids about his dog, named Hemmoroid. My son and Lenny had a great friendship up until Lenny's death a couple of years ago. Gage used to go and play blackjack with him at the assisted living place where he eventually moved. You never know what kind of impact you may be making on these little girls. And you are showing them that they are important enough for someone to care about. God bless you hugs Pam

Today is Grandparents' Day at my granddtr. Molly'sschool and I will be sharing Thanksgiving (school food) with hertoday. She called last night and asked if I minded being a grandmotherto another friend whose grandmother can't come. I said, of course Iwould. Don't know why she even asked because I have beengrandmothering her and her friends every year since she was in pre-Kand she is now in 4th grade. It seems that her friends always havegrandmothers who can't come so I get to fill in. Each year we take apicture for the little girls (one year I had 3 extras!) and give it tothem as a remembrance. I will say special prayers for all of you today...for the loss of yourmother, for your tests and just in general for anyone who needs aprayer. I don't always say names in my prayers, but God knows.
