Guest guest
Hi Jodyh, Have you been checked out by a doctor on this. Sometimes recurring UTI's should be checked out and treated by a physician. A friend was having recurring UTI's that cranberry juice didn't seem to help. She needed something a little stronger. SCD might help long term but it is probably better to have it checked. Guest guest
Jody, I'm writing this personally since it is such a private topic and I don't feel comfortable sharing it online. I was having major problems with recurrent bladder infections and found out my husband had yeast in his urine (got it probably from me during intercourse.) We both got on Diflucan and we were both cleared of yeast and that helped a while. Then I started having UTIs again and the doctors suggested antibiotics every time I had sexual intercourse since that's when I kept getting them. My Chiropractor suggested to get a washcloth and put about 10 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE)with a bit of water to dilute it on the washcloth and wipe myself on my privates before and after intercourse and then take a clean washcloth to wipe off the water/GSE combo. No more bladder infections since I've been doing this and it's been well over 2 1/2 years. Hope this helps and take care, Becky in Chesapeake,VA > Been doing so well with scd way of eating then why am I prone to UTI? > STaying on scd and not cheating will change all that? Guest guest
Please don't be embarrassed at all! I personally believe we'd all be a lot healthier if we talked more openly about some of these " private " issues. Thank goodness my aunt told me a while back about another way to prevent UTIs. She told me to make sure I urinated very soon after intercourse - every time! It helps wash away the bacteria that can get in there... I haven't had a UTI since. (The GSE is a good idea, too.) Take care, son - 5yo in May, ASD, SCD since last April > OOOOOPS, I guess I shared this online.
