Guest guest
HI there everyone, Don't know how to word this in a way that may make any sense, but here it goes! Today, I took off Tavin's helmet so that I could get him dressed. That was when I noticed that right where the ear cut outs are on his helmet (Hanger helmet), his skull bulges out just in that open area. So I decided to leave the helmet off for a while. We went out shopping and he received so many compliments for being cute. Funny, never gets that many when his helmet is on?? I called my husband and told him about my findings. Then I called Hanger. The orthotist was out of the office and would most likely call me Friday. Sooooo..... I am just wondering if this seems normal? The bulges are on both sides. I don't feel anything like it on myself. And now that I have this new thing to obsess over, I was checking out everyone's heads when we were shopping! I just put Tavin to bed without his helmet. It was so nice to feel that fuzzy head again. But it sure seems weird not having it on and him bashing me, ever so lovingly, in the face with it! I am sure one night without will not be detrimental. Thanks for any input.... Guest guest
Hello Janet Natasha had a good question. If the buldges are hard then I think that this is pretty normal. Please do check into this issue though with your ortho. Can you take picutes of this and post them? Willow has a bit of widening over her ears, and our doc told us that they disapear sometime between graduation and preschool. One mom noticed her 2.5year olds ears fromt he top that she could never see at the same time and it sounded as maybe that is what happened with her son as well. Please let us know what your ortho sais. Other than this how is Tavin doing with the helmet?
