Genetics/ Crohn's & Yeast Question

The whole genetic/ gluten intolerane issue is very interesting to me. Does

anyone know of other DNA or other health tests that you can order from home such

as Enterolab's? For instance, I know there is supposed to be a breast cancer

gene. My mother and her mother both had premenopausel breast cancer and I would

like to test my daughter and myself for the gene. But, do it without

insurance's knowledge. I like these tests from home without having to go

through the doctor hassle!

I have a quesion from the enterolab web site. It states:

" If moderate to severe malabsorption persists despite a strict gluten-free diet,

other causes, including inflammatory bowel disease (especially Crohn's disease

which is more common in gluten sensitive people likely because of the associated

immune reactivity to Saccharomyces cerevisiae, dietary yeast) and deficient

excretion of pancreatic enzymes, should be considered. "

So, should dietary yeast be avoided if signs of malabsorption are noticed in a

gluten intolerant individual?
