Guest guest
Dear , I happened to twist my ankle very badly back in Jan. 01. MRI's revealed there were two big holes in the bone. I went through the healing process with casts but found that the ankle would flare up and become painful again. In Feb. 02 I went back and asked for another MRI to make sure the bone was properly healed since I was experiencing these pain flare ups. After being in a walking cast (it's really a boot) for a week I finally got the MRI done. The bone was healed but there was a minor amount of fuild in the joint. Basically I was told that I may experience flare ups like this on and off - I'm figuring it's a tendon/ligaments thing. I was advised to wear the boot for a few days whenever it flares up and if it doesn't go away then to come back to the docs. So it's been almost a year and a half and I still get these flare ups. I think once we injure something it sometimes just doesn't go back to 100% right again. He may want to get ahold of one of these boots as they are very helpful in letting the ankle rest. Wishing you the best of luck. Hugs, HEDS, New Jersey, USA
