Guest guest
I shared these in my email about the haircut success, but thought I'd post them in their own email since Jody encouraged me to post them. They aren't completely originals, there are variants of these on the websites, but these combinations work for us. This first recipe is a very smooth " spread " , I spread it between 2 sneaky veggie pancakes and put that in their lunches (thermal bag w/ice pack of course to keep cool). The boys also just like to eat it with a spoon from a bowl: " Peanut Butter On a Spoon " as the boys call it: 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup SCD yogurt (not dripped) 1 tsp vanilla 2 TBS liquid sweetener (we can't use honey) whip up in food processor until smooth This recipe, Mom came up with, using the above as her " base " idea. It's DELICIOUS and the most exciting " treat " we've got going right now. We're trying them in popsicle molds, currently, will see if that works, would be like a fudgsicle consistency: 1 1/4 cup dripped and pressed yogurt cheese, fairly firm 1 cup p b 1 tsp vanilla 2 TBS sweetener whip up in food processor until smooth Roll into balls and freeze on layers of wax paper in freezer proof container. If you want to keep from making a mess, a wooden toothpick will stick in them to hold it with. The kids thought that was pretty cool (just watch them, toothpicks aren't exactly safe). These are so yummy I'm having to smack my OWN hands to leave them alone!!! in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/salicylate intolerant/diarrhea pre-SCD; , age 3, healthy; and , 19 mos, healthy All SCD since 1/26/
