Guest guest
Janie, I had 4 bi-weekly treatments of A/C, then weekly Taxotere for 12 weeks....that is what I meant by 2 rounds of chemo. After that, I had 6 weeks of radiation, too!! I basically felt OK during the A/C, until the last one....I was really tired but the knowledge that I was almost finished with that part kept me going. During the weekly Taxotere, I have to say that I had absolutely NO side effects during the treatment....my hair even started coming back starting week 4. I was amazed. And my hair has come back in curly, curly, curly (before chemo, my hair was straight, straight, straight!!) It's the most expensive perm in history, but my insurance picked up the cost!!! LOL Good luck with your upcoming (possible) treatments. Keep in touch.
Guest guest
Dear , Question - I finished chemo 3 weeks ago and am growing this "fuzz" - do you remember that happening? Thanks. Best,
Guest guest
Janie, No problem; ask all the questions you need to.....I just turned 48 in Oct (I finished my treatments in Sep....happy birthday to me!! LOL) I think the reactions to the drugs are an individual thing, plus the fact that the pre-chemo drugs are so much better now as well as the chemo is more refined. Hope this helps. Take Care. Guest guest
Thank you for your answer to my querie. Sorry to ask for something more, but could you tell me if you are over 50 as they say women over 50 have less difficulty with chemo (and I am past 50) ....
