Guest guest
Everyone is different, but I'm wondering what is considered constipation. I don't have BMs everyday and neither does Sam, but when we do they have been soft and formed. Sam's have been very soft and light brown. Should we be going everyday? Is this considered constipation if we aren't? The recent request for help concerns me because we never have had BMs everyday and I didn't think that going 3 days without a BM was such a horrible thing as long as it is soft when it comes. Any thought on this? Chrystee Sam, behavior/sensory issues, SCD 2 weeks
Guest guest
With my son when this was an issue, we had screaming from pain. HE wouldn't sit in his car seat and I had to rush him home often to put a suppository in him and push his legs up for him to get it out. Often it wouldn't come out easily. For me that's what I call constipation with my son, although I think it's a range of being backed up to what I described. Guest guest
Hi Chrystee, Sound fine to me. As long as you are not having pain or discomfort and the bm's are not dry, hard or painful to pass. My GI once told me that 1-2 bm's every 1-3 days is okay. It sounds pretty abritrary to me and symptoms of constipation seem to indicate it more then the frequency, though if in doubt you should always consider mentioning it to your doctor. Guest guest
Yes, that is familiar. We went through lots of that prior to Feingold and SCD. I've never seen him have such soft BMs since SCD Chrystee Sam SCD 2 weeks On Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 04:49 PM, boosis.geo wrote: > With my son when this was an issue, we had screaming from pain.
