, I just did this last week, and was annoyed with myself. I was told the

bacteria was all out of it but that it's great for baking or making cheese.

Sorry!

left yogurt too long?

I know this has been asked too many times, but now it's my turn and I am too

tired to remember the answer! I forgot to put my latest batch of yogurt in the

fridge before I went to bed last night. It went for 32 hours instead of

24-Can I still use it? Thanks.

When I asked Elaine this question many months ago when I made this

mistake (on the first yahoo list - ElainesChildren), she just said

it wouldn't last as long. She said to eat it within a few days, but

she didn't say anything about less bacteria... I'm not sure if it is

possible to search those archives.

I think I remember her saying that the bacteria do start to decline.... but not

that they would be all completely gone by 32 hours. I think you should still use

it.... but tie a string around your finger next time. :) I like to put my

yogurt in right before I go to bed..... then it's the last thing I do the next

night..... and I've been known to put a sticky note on my toothbrush to remind

me..... " Yogurt out!! " . :)
