Guest guest
Hi folks talk about a more spartan diet ! we are doing the modified SCD diet no fruits no honey no nuts yet (allergy) no eggs/allergy no dairy yet etc and things are going great ! we have a long list of improvements to rejoice about he eats tons of veggies, water/broth (as bulk) and meats/chicken, cooking oils, etc on days my son is vegetarian he seems to be very clearer and happier and easier going the next day and almost absent transition tantrums with meat, he is less compliant and more complainy hocus pocus or more meat deprivation in the horizon? we have 2 trials at home with meatless days and a meatless week we are going vegetarian this week again and will intro meats again to see if this is really true any similar experiences? any scientific explanation? (I imagine if we go any further on this pathway next you'll hear from me maybe the " Fasting " diet!) Guest guest
Jzin, I am thrilled that your son is doing so well. Some kids react better to meat from animals that were not fed grain. There are websites for meat from grass fed animals. There are also places to get meat from wild life. Guest guest
If you are not doing eggs, dairy or nuts, I would really worry about protein sources if you decide to go all vegetarian, too. Guest guest
" we are doing the modified SCD diet no fruits no honey no nuts yet (allergy) no eggs/allergy no dairy yet etc " Jzin Teng, Without meats, your child will not get enough protein since you are not able to use nuts, eggs, dairy or beans. What about considering some enzymes to help break down protein rather than eliminating it. Our bodies need some protein.
