Guest guest
I should add that I am taking the probiotics and even take a magnesium tablet in the evenings, thinking it will help me along. BM question This may sound strange, but I am wondering about the BM's going on here. Before SCD I struggled a lot with constipation and am on zel-norm to help with that. I think SCD is helping ME in many ways, not so bloated and gassy, but I still have one problem that really bugs me. My second son does this, to. I'm having BM's, formed fine, but just small amounts each time I go. I may do this several times in a day. Not " pebbles " like when you're constipated, it's just that I'd like to go all at one time! I sit and try to wait it out but it's just not happening. So I leave still feeling like I've not " emptied " and that sure is a yucky feeling all day long. Anyone had any luck getting over that type of problem, without use of laxatives or anything? I don't like that route, or senna or cascara sagrada... this is a pretty embarrassing question but I guess if I can't ask if here, where can I ask it? If it helps, I'm having a pretty good balance of yogurt, fruits, veggies,! and meats, all SCD... and do drink a LOT of water. Thanks if anyone has any input at all. in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/highly sensitive to phenols & salicylates/diarrhea & gas problems; , age 3, healthy; and , 19 mos, healthy All SCD since 1/26/
Guest guest
Hi , It will take some time for your body to heal. In the meantime Elaine's constipation protocol may help you feel more comfortable. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation ..htm BTW, are you cooking, deseeding and peeling all fruits and veggies? Raw fruits and veggies will make constipation worse. Sheila, SCD 36 mos, UC 20 yrs mom of SCD 21 mos > This may sound strange, but I am wondering about the BM's going on here. Guest guest
, If it's any comfort to you... When I have read " natural/alternative " websites on colon function, stools, etc., they always say that people should elminate three times a day (after each meal). Maybe your colon is finally working " right " and it just doesn't feel right to you yet. Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 1 year
Guest guest
Hi , You should probably check out this link also http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipatio n_continued.htm Hope it helps Sheila, SCD 36 mos, UC 20 yrs mom of SCD 21 mos > Thanks Sheila. I have seen that protocol and even though I don't feel SO constipated, think I do need it. Things still aren't moving as they should. Feel pretty icky this morning in that regard. > > Also, I do eat raw fruits " on the run " but actually hoped they'd move things along! Sure did not realize raw fruits would make constipation worse?
