Dear Health Care Practitioners,

Welcome to this list; I hope you will participate fully as we all have a lot

to share and learn.

The only reason a site like this exists is because millions of people with

Hypothyroid symptoms are going either undiagnosed or under-treated.

Therefore, since our health is our lives, we seek information, research,

advice and experience to help us to resolve our own health issues. If the

medical establishment practiced healing instead of what ever it is they are

doing, we would all be treated optimally by our local health care

professionals and be able to go on with our lives. There isn't one of us

here that would not prefer that I am sure!

Instead of criticizing what we are doing why not address the real problem: a

standard of care that does not meet patients needs.

As you read the posts on this list you will learn that many of us suffer for

ten, fifteen, twenty years with untreated or undertreated thyroid disorders

and that after visiting doctor after doctor after doctor. Those years amount

to daily suffering of unimaginable proportions -unnecessary, preventable,

suffering. So many women have miscarriage after miscarriage simply because

they are not given adaquate thyroid hormone during pregnancy. Many have

other symptoms such as Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia because of

undiagnosed or undertreated thyroid hormone problems. Of course there are

men and children who also suffer from the same fate.

FIRST DO NO HARM! As you will learn, harm has been done and continues to be

done every day where thyroid hormone replacement is concerned. Mostly it is

done out of fear and greed. Not the most elevating of human emotions. Not

the emotions of a true healer.

We would be very happy to get on with our lives if you all would take the

responsibility to help those who need your help. There is a thyroid epidemic

going on! Untreated hypothyroidism and mistreated hyperthyroidism go on to

create heart disease, stroke, cancer susceptability and eventually death,

after a miserable life.

You take over and do what you are meant to do as healers and we will wrap up

our " shingles " and go home. Until then, we will help ourselves and each

other to better health and well being in any way that we can. Wouldn't you

do the same?

plunge to treat ourselves if we had any other option? How many of us have

gone decades?
