Confession time here. After my bad day on Tuesday I had DH stop and get me a

bag of peanuts, a small one only he bought two and I was so upset and hungry

I ate them both. ( I should be more like , I know.) And yesterday

at school we went coasting on the hill behind the school. I walked up about

9 times, it was fun . I did not drink much water yesterday and around 11 I

started getting cramps which is not unusual. By the time I got home around 4

I was too sick to spend much time on the computer. It wasn't long before I

was lying on the floor rolling in pain and then I would sweat buckets. And

after awhile I would get cold. In so much pain I would not have gotten into

an ambulance, This is the third tome this has happened to me but usually it

starts higher up in my stomach and moves down. Doctor thought before it

might be because I did not have any enzymes to handle my food. But I am

wondering if it could have been diviculitus . Anyone have that .

I am home today and hoping to be better for tomorrow.

Dear Norma i dont have it but i know a few people who do .. basically its

from not enough fiber in your diet..but nuts and seeds would trigger a

reaction.. i think there are a few people on the list who have had it.. but

i will haul out my nutrition books and write you up some advice on eating..

and SUPPLEMENTS you should take.

Norma, my mom had diverticulitis and had to have an emergency operation which took her a long time to recover from....looks like you might be in need of the dreaded colon exam...has your doctor suggested that? It really is something you should get done when you turn 50 anyway.

My doctor suggested it for me but.... I couldn't figure out how to give

myself the @#$%^ & * & * enema with all my extra rolls to work around. Then I did

my leg and I've let a lot of months roll by and still haven't done the test.

Hi Norma,

What you have described, I have experienced several times

and it was always after eating a large amount of nuts.

It has happened to me twice this year and is very painful.

I could be diverticulitis.

OH Norma, I am so sorry you got sick again. My mother got that from eating nuts and she was deathly ill for a long time. You need to get it checked out again sweety no matter how much time it takes. It puts people in the hospital. Can you associate the other two times with eating nuts? Best to not eat them even if you can't. I am glad you are feeling better, but know that you will now not take care of it and I don't want you to end up in the hospital feeling that sick for days or weeks and I repeat, I KNOW PEOPLE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO FROM DIVERTICULITIS. so call the doctor, pretty please.

Hiya, Joya! I getting one tomorrow. The metal hubuju operators let one see the screen when they take the rectal scenic route, and one can see the diverticuli as the probe moves up and in. They say most people have them. Over all, it is a degrading and undignified process to my mind.

ranging from a size 4 to 14 poking and prodding.

Hope all goes well with the exam.
