Guest guest
I have a lot of mucous in the throat, but I *think* it's the after results of bieng so sick awhile back, still have a cough too. Shirley post-nasal drip anyone? I was wondering if anyone has had the side effect from thyroid meds of post-nasal drip or a mucousy feeling in the throat. I seem to have had that side-effect the whole time I've been on the meds. I have tried to see if that is a sign of hyperthyroidism and I don't see it anywhere as a sign of that; in fact I've seen it described as a symptom of hypo rather than hyper, but still...got to admit I am a bit worried... Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so,did it mean anything important? Thanks, Gentle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
I had trouble with that after going without meds for a long time and then finally getting back on.. I'm not sure of the reason/cause... but the thought that came to my mind is that our bodies, when hypo have a lot of trouble doing normal, rhythmic things..... stomach digestion, menstruation, bowel processing... I wonder if the movement of mucous is the same way???? We produce a lot every day, normally... and if our bodies have been having problems moving it out properly (normally it drains into the back of the throat and is swallowed). Might it be possible that as our bodies get back up to doing things normally that there is a period of time during which the body is doing some serious cleaning out? Mine settled down after a while and no problems after that..... Just a theory... I have no idea if it's valid or not... Guest guest
When you brush your teeth.. do the roof of your mouth and your tongue too... that gets rid of the side effects of the sublingual meds.. and boy, does food taste good when you keep your tongue clean!!! hehehehehe Topper () On Tue, 03 Feb 2004 20:38:11 -0000 " astrodiana " writes: > I think sinus problems and congestion go hand in hand with > hypothyroidism often....could it be your congestion breaking up and > running down the back of your throat?
