Guest guest
Welcome Dona!! You're in for the ride of your life and you won't be sorry!!! This really is a family, one I'm glad and proud to belong to.... Shirley New here....but feel like I'm among dear friends! My thyroid history is long & erratic. I was first prescribed synthroid 35 years ago with little success. Then moved to another part of the country where docs refused to prescribe anything for me since I was on a very small dose and blood work was within normal range. Many years of maladies & malaise followed culmanating in HRT at age 41 along with a several years of prozac. About 2 years ago my GYN nurse practitioner thought my thyroid was a bit swollen & sent me to an Endo. at the Cleveland Clinic. I was diagnosed with a nodule, biopsied benign, thank God. After all testing, he prescribed, yep you guessed it, a low Rx synthroid just to " keep the nodule contained. " He assured me that I should not expect to feel any different....no reason to since my labs are still LOW but normal & the Rx is " mostly precautionary. " Cut to the chase.....reading your posts is like looking into a mirror. I have been ready to take charge & now have the ammunition i.e. info/support to do it. THANK YOU ALL! Guest guest
> Thanks Gentle. Your post brought me here! ;-) Oh, good! I'm glad that my post had a positive benefit! That makes up for the fact that I looked like a fool and I think made some people angry with me which I really hate because I hate it when people are angry with me. Mostly I'm just so excited about this stuff because I feel like I won the lottery. This is literally the first time in my whole life I've felt completely well, and the changes that I've seen and my DH has seen in me have been in the words of my DH " Miraculous. " I'd be a mean-hearted person if I didn't have an urge to want to share the miracle with others who might need it. But I have to learn more how to do it without hurting anyone or making anyone mad. I think what I am going to do from now on is just add it to my prayers at night, a prayer that things will be better and we will know more with the endocrinology field and that more will come to good health. Guest guest
Hi there. Are you Dona?? Welcome to this site!! And go into the FILES section and read, read, read. You will find out about Armour, and the huge difference it makes. And you need a new doc who will forget " normal " and go by symptoms. Janie aka ThyroDiva > My thyroid history is long & erratic.
