Hi All,

Just wanted to share with you my new gadget that works great for

making pecan or walnut flour. It is OXO Good Grips Seal & Store

Rotary Grater. I bought it at Linens & Things, after someone

recommended it on the LI list.

I have not used it for almond flour yet but it works fantastic for

pecans and walnuts. I was buying my pecan flour from

sunnylandfarms.com, but noticed that the flour have so many dark

pieces (from the skins) and I think that's too much roughfage (sp).

With this little gadget you can only make 1/2 cup at the time, but it

is a quick process. It makes a really fine flour without being too

oily.

Thanks so much for telling us about this. I went and bought one this

morning at Bed, Bath and Beyond - now I have a loaf of pecan cinnamon raisin

bread in the oven and it looks really good! It is great to have an

inexpensive way to make pecan flour that is fine for kids who have overly

sensitive mouths and who shouldn't eat almond flour every day.
