It is listed on the bag. That was certainly MY error.

I went to the store looking for another source and ALL the walnuts have

this listed or just the BHT which leads you to wonder if perhaps they

just left out the small amount of corn oil. Some also mention they may

have shells in them.

So now I am wondering if the nuts I had been using that only listed

walnuts as an ing, didn't also have the corn oil?

I was buying a generic brand that the store had tons of for the

Holidays so I had stocked up. Just ran out.

Bummer....

Re: FW: Diamond of California

Hi Carol,

Just curiousity, is there an ingredient listing on the bag with the

corn oil and BHT listed? And yes, it is interesting. I am glad that

this company was honest with you.

So, are you thinking that the corn oil or BHT are illegal? Or is it

just that those nuts are processed, therefore suspect? Or does

react to one of those ingredients?

I have used Diamond walnut, pecans, and in the past, almonds. I

missed it too.

Thanks for checking into this and letting us know.

I *think* I saw raw walnuts at Whole Foods. Are the walnuts you are

talking about roasted? I read the reply from Diamond, did it say that

the oil was to preserve them somehow?

I would think that raw walnuts that listed only walnuts in the

ingredient list would be ok. I don't see why they would need oil on

them if they are not roasted.
