Guest guest
I run 4x per week, 3 to 4 miles. Will start training for my first marathon in August. I also do the Firm body sculpting videos 2 x per week. I do the really old cheesy ones, but I love them. Guest guest
I work out USUALLY 5-6 times a week (but since the birth of my son three months ago and my perpetual sleep deprivation it is down to 4x a week). I do exercise videos. I love them. I can do them at home before the babies wake up and the cost is much less than gyms. PLUS I can do them in any weather. There are literally 1000s of great videos to choose from. On top of that on beautiful days like we have been having here lately, the kids are put in the stroller and off we go for a nice long walk. Exercise What exactly does everybody do for exercise? I walk 1 to 2 miles a day and want to start a toning tape. Guest guest
I have been using a Weslo Airwalker everyday for 10-15 minutes. I'd like to start using my hand weights to tone up. Any good suggestions for toning videos? le Exercise What exactly does everybody do for exercise? I walk 1 to 2 miles a day and want to start a toning tape. Guest guest
I may not be the norm, because I was very active even when I was at my heaviest. So now that I'm in weight loss mode, I kicked it up a notch: - Aquacize, 2x weekly, 45 min each - Weight lifting, 3x weekly, 45 min each - 30 min walk/run, 4x weekly - lunchtime walk with buddy, 1 hour When I'm back into maintenance mode, I suspect I'll either do the walk/run 5x weekly and drop the lunch walk, or vice versa. Guest guest
I go to Curves 4 times per week and I also do the Sansone Walk Away the Pounds (2 & 3 mile) videos on my off days from Curves (and also sometimes on the same day too when I'm up early in the morning and have time before work.) I like working out first thing in the morning because I find I have more energy all day. I go to Curves after work. Exercise What exactly does everybody do for exercise? Guest guest
There is talk of a Curves coming to town here. We're all excited waiting to see what will happen le Oh the joys of a small town - My garbage man came to find me at work to let me know I had forgotten to put out my trash today and he would go back and get it later! Guest guest
I've worked my way up to doing the treadmill for 45 minutes per day. I plan to add weight lifting as my next step. Debbie Y
Guest guest
Well I am happy to say that I finally found an exercise that I really truly enjoy doing! I am not the athletic type and have never been. I was always the last picked in sports, hated PE, and up till recently have never found any exercise that I enjoy doing (except maybe yoga, but it's not that great for weight loss since it's not cardio). I have tried riding a stationary bike, riding a regular bike, we owned a small home gym system, joined 24 hour fitness, taken aerobics classes....you name it! I know that exercise is good for me but I have always found an excuse not to do it...don't want to get up early, if I exercise at night I can't sleep, the weather is bad, what do I do with my daughter?, ect, etc, etc. Well a couple weeks ago I got tired of my husband saying he was going to stop by the Tae Kwon Do place down the street and see about lessons one of these days. He has been saying that for over a year now and has never gone in to see how much it costs or anything. So I decide I was sick of it and I called them! Turns out they have a bunch of all-belt/family classes and they start the kids at 4 years old (our daughter is 5). So we signed up the whole family for a three week trial and guess what? I love it!!! I figured I would give it a try if we could convince my daughter to go. She didn't want to go at first but after the first class she loves it to. Every day she asks if we are going to Tae Kwon Do today. So far we are only going three times a week but eventually I hope to work up to four or five times a week. By the end of class I am totally exhausted and very sore but it is so much fun it's worth it. The only down side I can think of is the cost, it's expensive because all three of us are going, but I feel it's worth it because it's not just exercise. It also teaches us discipline, self defense, and positive self esteem. Kris Exercise What exactly does everybody do for exercise? I walk 1 to 2 miles a day and want to start a toning tape. Guest guest
Those are the best ones. Which ones do you do? I am partial to Vol 1 Re: Exercise I run 4x per week, 3 to 4 miles. Guest guest
The Firm videos are great for toning, but most add some aerobic in there. I am a HUGE fan of Cathe Friedrich. Her stuff is advanced but she teaches good form and if you start with light or no weights you can work up to heavier stuff. Her Power Series has been out for a few years and good buys can be found on Ebay. PLUS if you want to just work your biceps for example she has the best chaptered DVDs to tailor your workout exactly as you like. Hope this helps. Another oldie but goodie that's been around for a while (so you should be able to find it reasonably priced on Ebay) is Voight's Great Weighted Workout. I hope these help, if you are looking for other suggestions I have others you may like to try. There is a web site that gives awesome, extremely thorough reviews you may wish to check out. It is something like www.paulasvidbits.com But I am not sure, so I will scour around my stuff to see if I can find where that site. Exercise What exactly does everybody do for exercise?
