I charge 97140 for all manual treatments regardless of specific

techniques. If I do some type of manual resistance, I would charge that

as 97110. This is how I interpret the charges. Hope that helps some.

Use CPT code 97110 or 97140 for 'manual PROM'

Dear Group,

If a therapist is performing 'manual PROM' on patient with the goal of

increased muscle flexibility and/or joint ROM, what CPT code is used?

Does

the answer change if your are using specific techniques (i.e. inhibitory

techniques, deep pressure, static stretch, rhythmical movement etc)?

Any feedback is appreciated
