" would make me think that she should establish this with the employer up front and then not need to sign it at all. Because if she signs it and then goes back on her word boy would I lose respect for my friend, legal or not, your word is your word tell her. Law always subverts relationship. Anyhow, she could also place contingencies on the clause, like if " I leave within 60 days " or if " I'm laid off rather than fired for non-performance " .
