purchasing new meter

I have been on no mail status for over a year so sorry for the post since I am

sure it has been covered. I do not have the time to wade through posts in the

archives so this is why I am posting it here/now.

This is really old hat around here but wanted to just quickly get some feedback.

I need to purchase a new meter since mine is quickly dieing.

I know from Pat that there has been some talk on the list about the new talking

Prodigy meter made by Diagnostic Devices.

My insurance will cover the strips to a certain extent for the Prodigy meter.

They are telling me they can get me a three months supply for $150 but the in

network meter they prefer is the accucheck voice mate and a 3 months supply of

strips is around $50 to $75.

any accucheck voicemate users on list here can you please give me a quick list

of pros/cons to using this meter. I had gathered some a few years back but

cannot locate the email.

Also, any new prodogy meter users can you get me a few pros/cons to using this

new meter?

Thanks for the feedback. Based on it, I am going to take it and get either the

prodogy or voicemate so all feedback welcomed.
