Guest guest
Good Evening Listserv Do any of you have on hand the link to the MC transmittal that outlines the rules governing PT services provided to beneficiaries in the home (not homebound) by providers in private practice billing Part B? Specifically, I am trying to determine if PTA's are allowed to provide any treatment (unsupervised) in the home. I understand that a PTA can provide a treatment under Part A after the PT does an evaluation, but was under the assumption that only a PT could do it if under Part B (provider in a private practice). If I am correct, can someone explain why there is a different criterion of supervision for a PTA for services provided in a clinic (Part vs. in a home (home health agency Part A). Thanks for your help. I will continue my search for the transmittal. Witt, PT Delray Beach, FL
