Guest guest Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Dear Group, I was checking benefits for a patient (for outpatient PT) with BCBS Alabama coverage. I was informed the patients copay for PT was $25.00 if the patient is treated by a PT/PTA but $15.00 if (rehab) services were provided by an MD, RN, etc. for " therapy " . I tried to ask the insurance person, why her copay is less if performed by a person that is not a therapist and she was unable to explain. Has anyone else heard of this?? What a bunch of bull! & $?
