Guest guest Posted March 21, 2002 Report Share Posted March 21, 2002 We're back from Egleston. I am pooped. Boone had seven teeth removed (ouch!) but acts like he doesn't hurt at all. He refuses all meds -- even pain med. Before the surgery, to calm him down, they started him out with a dose of versed (sp?) and a nurse said, " he won't be able to walk once that kicks in. " They said this because Boone was determined to escape and kept running away while we were in pre-op. Thirty minutes after the versed, he decided to run again. He took off and didn't slow down till he got to the pre-op reception area, which is where we caught him. He had the silliest smile on his face I've ever seen. The nurse said, " I said he wouldn't be able to walk. But I guess he can run on it just fine. " Yep. I guess he can.
