Congratulations and thank you for taking the time to come in and share

your good news. It is so wonderful to hear when one of us gets good

news and sometimes people forget to post that. I pray you will

continue to do well. Doris

I am so glad for you for your good news. I too had a

bilateral masectomy but 5 years apart and I feel very light chested

now too. I was very heavy chested and am 5' 1 " weigh quite a bit

more than you do tho so now all the weight is going into my stomach

and now I look like I am pregnant without any boobs. lol Have been

trying to work on getting this weight down especially my stomach by

going to curves but not doing a very good job with my eating

habits. You take care now, God Bless, Love, Sharon F.

's Good News

I just thought I would update you all since you have started to get

to know me and might be interested. I am the one who found breast

cancer with my 3rd pregnancy. I'm 28.

They came back with preliminary reports saying I had no lymph nodes

positive on either side and that the infiltrating ductal carcinoma

tumor was 2.0 cm. They did a bilateral mastectomy and found DCIS in

my other breast. So we are so glad to have it all removed! I had

no doubt that we needed to remove the other breast - but this just

confirms it. I might be either Stage I or Stage IIa. Either bode a

good result, as I am sure most of you all know the survival rates

and disease free rates, and we will probably do chemo to make the

results that much better since they can't possibly get every breast

tissue cell. I am so thrilled to get that good news. I was so

scared because my breast felt so hard and the area around the tumor

was so inflamed. But fortunately, that's what it was - inflamed.

So I just wanted to let everyone know, I am recovering well from the

bilateral mastectomy and had very little bruising and minimal

bleeding. My swelling has gone down tremendously and the scarring

will probably look great with the natural crease line they did. I

got a reduction too! I feel so much lighter! My pathologist report

is taking longer because they have 9 pounds of tissue to go

through! I am just a 140 pound 5'4 person too. I still have some

pregnancy weight on me too. I am so thankful it was a better result

than I thought it was!
