Guest guest Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 At the three-week mark, I decided to have have a lipid panel done, cause I'm eating more meats, cheese, and eggs than I used to. Total cholesterol was 215 (should be no higher than 200, they say). That's higher than I used to be, around 175. The good news is the HDL, good cholesterol, was very high. The LDL, bad cholesterol, was slightly elevated. The resulting " risk ratio " was very good. (Triglycerides were low) So, I plan on tweaking the diet....maybe eggs for breakfast twice a week, no hard boiled egg in my lunch salad. I also plan on bicycling more, I understand exercise reduces the LDL. Maybe that will improve the numbers somewhat. Steve Quote
