Guest guest
Hi Summer.Moon, In response to your reason for wanting to join the group, you said: <<I am currently on Trileptal 200 mg, geodon 8mg and celexa 20 mg. I am trying to come off of all of these meds and due to lack of insurance it has to be all at the same time.>> ** This is a very dangerous thing to do. It will make you very ill and perhaps will even kill you. If you live, you will regret having stopped these drugs in this manner the rest of your life. Five years from now you will still be having symptoms from coming off all these drugs in this way. You will become disabled and never be able to work. Taking care of yourself in normal daily ways will even be a huge challenge. I can't help you do this in the way you are proposing to do it. I'm not a magician. You have to give me something to work with. There's nothing I can do to help you if you go off all these drugs abruptly (you should not even go off one of them abruptly). What you need to do is tell your doctor and ask if you can get samples of the two more expensive ones (Geodon and Trileptal). You can get Citalopram 20mg for $40 a month from www.drugstore.com . You can also check other drugstores in your area for a comparable price. There are drug companies that will give you what you need depending on your ability to pay. For Pfizer (Geodon) go to: http://www.pfizerhelpfulanswers.com/pages/programs/programdetails.aspx ?p=2 Pfizer will give free Geodon to people who cannot afford it. Fill out ther forms as soon as possible. Novartis (maker of Trileptal) does not help with this drug. Chances are that your doctor can get samples for you if you ask. Forest (maker of Celexa) will help with this drug. For Forest, go to: http://www.forestpharm.com/pap/ You my also qualify for Medicaid. Apply and see if you do. I want you to know I am not exaggerating when I tell you what I've told you above about stopping any or all of these drugs abruptly. At the very least you will definitely end up in the psych hospital if you go ahead and do this. Regards,
