I am so heavy that NOBODY hasnoticed my weight loss! Sure, it is only 15 pounds I was about 40 lbs overweight, and lost 18 since I started low carb. No one has noticed it on me, either. However, I feel much, much better, and have dropped a size and a half. I don't cringe when I see my reflection in a store window either. I lost weight once before and found the same phenomenon. It recently came to my notice that I see other people here and there who look to me like they lost weight, but unless it's a really significant amount I don't mention it. Why? I have no idea. But I guess we're all that way, for some reason. Keep up the good work! Colleen 182/164/
Guest guest
I was the same. I started at 305 and am now at about 247 (and lost 10 inches each in my waist, hips, and breasts) and only just now people are starting to notice. Before that only my mom and my kids noticed. It was rather discouraging cuz it's the noticing that makes us want to keep going. A support system. So I definately know where you are coming from. Shoot, it even took me about 40 pounds lost to get down a size, when others go down 10 and a size. But since then it's zooming down in sizes now for whatever reason. Catchup maybe. hehe I went from a 26/28 to an 18/20. It is nice to be noticed specially when we put so much darn work into it. Carol ..... I am so heavy that NOBODY hasnoticed my weight loss! I am not 'so' heavy, I guess; but after dropping 21 pounds (YAY ME!) since May 15 not very many people have noticed either, especially since I am still wearing mostly the same clothes - I have not gone down a size, and don't expect to. I was borderline going up a size though, so maybe you could say I dropped a half-size. Anyway, my clothes look better on me and are a whole lot more comfortable now though. <G> But *I* have noticed a difference. In fact, when I'm in a store and pass a mirror I do a double-take, because the lady in the mirror sure doesn't look like me! LOL I don't notice it so much in the mirror in the morning for some reason, but just by looking at myself I can tell my thighs are much thinner, my arms don't have much of that flabby-flap left <G>, and I look 'narrower'. And my feet don't hurt anymore, either, which is WONDERFUL. :-D And I can run with my dogs now! which is great for all of us. I just remind myself of these improvements every day, and it helps me a lot. :-) B. 172/151/
Guest guest
I found a lot of people didn't mentiom my seemingly dramatic weight loss since they thought I might have had a medical problem. My doctor's office staff had noticed (I'm there weekly for blood tests) and one day someone asked me about the loss after I had a weigh-in and mentioned I was on a diet and wanted their records updated. I had a similar response from my pharmacy staff. In this day and age, maybe people are more nervous about mentioning it. > I was the same.
