Guest guest
Cissy, Hi I am a lurker but I have a question for you. Why no carbs in the morning? When is the best? Thanks for your help in advance! Kay > The one thing I do know is > that the carbs should not be eaten at breakfast.
Guest guest
IMHO...You will have to try it and see how your body responds. I haven't had any problems at all with carbs in the morning. Somedays I have Fiber 1 w strawberries, or SF yogurt & banana,or oatmeal,or ww english muffin w cheese, somedays I will have a plum for my morning snack. You will just have to go slowly and see what works for you. I cannot do apples very well, with or without a protein (sugar stopper. Just take your time and see how your body responds. I feel that if you don't at least try you might be missing out on something nice for breakie or mid morning snacks ;0) > > The one thing I do know is > > that the carbs should not be eaten at breakfast. Guest guest
> Why no carbs in the morning? When you reintroduce carbs to your diet, they can trigger cravings. Do you want to go all day fighting a craving for something you can't have since you've eaten your allotment for the day already? Ditto fruits if the trigger cravings for sweets. > When is the best? As late in the day as possible. Then you don't have as long to suffer before you go to sleep and can ignore them. -- Ann You spend your life fighting dirt, and when you die they bury you in it. hayakawa@... If its a workday for me, I get *really* hungry about an hour after having carbs for breakfast. For some reason if it is a day I am off work, I am fine. Go figure! > When is the best? Depends on your system. Try them for breakfast one day and see what happens. I usually have a carb for my mid-morning snack, and as long as it isn't an apple I am fine (those make me hungry too). B. Guest guest
For me, it just depends on the day. This morning I had Kashi cereal and I was hungry. On Monday, I had oatmeal pancackes and was fine. There are other days I have cereal and I am fine. With me, nothing ever makes sense.
