Even if they don't ask about your weightloss, you know you did it and how great you feel and how much better you look now. That should definately help keep you motivated during the picnic. Good going taking something you can have. :) Enjoy the people. :) Carol

Re: Control at parties

Beatriz I'm with you I don't control myself at events very well. I have to go to

the first school potluck picinic today. So I am making a SB friendly dessert and

something called Nutty Barley Bake. At least I know I will be able to eat some

thing there. It's sooooo hard to not make these about food. I know it's supposed

to be about meeting and reaquinting with friends and families, but there's going

to be food there. So it must have something to do with food. I will try to stay

strong, maybe someone will ask about my (20some) pound weight loss. THAT will

keep me focused.

Well Carol, noone asked :( but there is good news. I went school shopping with

my daughter (13) and her friend, tried on a 9 and THEY FIT! I didn't have the

extra money to buy myself something this week, so I went home and tried on all

of my "when I can where this again" box. I now have 2 new pair of jeans and a

pair that the waist is so big I put them in the Goodwill bag. AND the only thing

left was a pair of dress pants, size 7, they were zipable but tight in the tummy.

I'm almost there, ph3, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

How true! We don't realize but so many things involve food unnessaceraly.

After a child's sporting event they hand out a snack, the same for scout

meetings. PTA meetings snacks are served, classes win pizza parties, book

clubs serve cookies, candle parties, Tupperware parties...food is such a

social thing.

Kudo's to you mom for all that cooking and measuring. It does bring things

in to perspective.
