Subscribe From: ALmom (6655289) Aug-7 10:02 am To: ALL (1 of 2) 14831.1 I am breastfeeding and need to lose a lot of weight. I understand I am supposed to do phase 2 but am having trouble " getting into " it. Is the reasoning only risk of decreased milk supply? or harmful to 11 month old son to? please let me know, I'd really like to try to jump start on phase 1. It is important to have a balanced diet for the vitamins and minerals. Also, a nursing mother needs more calories and nutrients than an average woman. I strongly recommend staying on phase 2 and make sure that you are drinking 3 cups of milk. --SBD Nutritionist > Okay, my husband and I are on Day 4 of Phase 1. Guest guest
And make sure you are getting your milk and yogurt in. We are allowed to have up to two cups of milk a day. But for nursing you may even want to increase that. S. Guest guest
Hi, I’m new here and I’m on day 7 of phase I. I’m also breastfeeding and didn’t see anything in the book about this. Where can I find the info? Now I’m really concerned. Guest guest
I have always heard that breastfeeding moms should begin in Phase 2. Give your doctor a call in the morning to be safe. -Beth inal Message ----- From: To: South-Beach-Diet-Getting-It-Right Sent: Sunday, August 22, 2004 6:33 AM Subject: RE: breastfeeding Hi, I’m new here and I’m on day 7 of phase I.
