http://www.thyca.org/

scroll down page; there is a hyperlink that says " Low Iodine Cookbook - now

available for download " .

If you click on that, it will download in Adobe Acrobat and you can read it or

print it from there.

Since you have a few weeks you can also order a printed copy (the link for that

is below the cookbook link).

Any idea what your doctor means by going overboard?

All of the items on your list are fine (assuming they are fresh and you cook

them yourself without iodized salt) EXCEPT for the fish - no fish - nothing from

the sea (seaweed, sea salt, etc.).

Double check the meat packages, though, and it's probably a good idea to rinse

them off; some meats (particularly poultry) are packaged with or rinsed with

salt water.

Oils are fine, with the possible exception of soy (no soy is allowed on the

LID).

says the url not found. I will be doing this in a couple of weeks and want to

prepare. My doc says don't go overboard, but, well, that's my style so I

probably will. : )

But I eat tons of dairy and seafood. So this will be a bit of an adjustment.

Funny, I used to worry I wasn't getting enough iodine in my diet - I guess I

was.
