I've been noticing lots of carb posting/counting. One of the nice things about SB is that we don't count carbs, calories, fats or anything! Eat whole, healthy, unprocessed foods and use the lists. It's easy to get caught up in it, especially if you've come from Adkins or similar.

Yes this is true but if we need to make a choice its always good to use the glycemic index to see which carbs are lower and better for you.

There is an SBD book which takes the guesswork out of this - it provides you with list of foods and the amount of carbs ad fats per serving.

, could you tell me the name of the SBD book. Is it the SBD book itself or another book to go along with that one, thanks, Debra

Its a small paperback and is called Good Carbs, Good Fats - I think. it looks like the SBD hardcover - they used the same type and colors for the cover.

You can also purchase the following book which was recommended by our daughter's endicrinologist - its called The Doctor's Pocket Calorie Fat and Carbohydrate Counter. It has lots of food items as well as 101 fast food chain restaurants. You can oder it at www.calorieking.com
