Guest guest
Hi Tanu ~ I'm Kris. I've been on the SBD for 3 days now & i've lost 3 Lbs!!!!!!! I've got to up my water intake b/c i get very bloated, too & i've noticed that when i drink a lot of water i not only feel better, my pants fit better :-) How "off track" did you get w/ the SBD??? Sounds like your still staying away from the "bad" foods. I think this group will help you stay on track. It's helped me along the past 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kris Tanu Moorjani wrote: Hi Everyone. My name is Tanu Moorjani and I would love to join this group and get somesupport on this annoying weightloss journey.I am married and have a gorgeous 15-month-old baby girl named Divina. I livein Guadeloupe, French West Indies. We have an Indian Boutique. My husbandtakes care of the selling part of the boutique and I do the purchasing. Ialso doing Indian catering in my free time.I've been doing the South Beach for the last 3 months and I had lost 28pounds and then about a week back, I don't know what happened and I got offtrack and can't seem to get back on again. Its like I have no sense orcontrol over what I'm doing. I could use the support right now. That's why Iwould like to join. Then this morning, I just realized I may be retaining alot of water and thatcould be the reason for my weight gain. I just put on my shoes to go getsomething from the downstairs mini-supermarket and I couldn't get my shoeson. My feet are SWOLLEN!!! I'm usually at home and haven't gone out in aweek so probably that's why I didn't notice. But could water gain be 6pounds?? Cuz I'm not eating any bread, potatoes, or white flour, but I'mdefinitely not sticking to SBD faithfully after I got on the scale and saidI had ballooned to 200 in 5 days. I've never really experienced this kind of weight gain before. I do go tothe bathroom alot when I drink alot of water............I haven't even beendoing that since that dreadful day. Nor am I getting my water intake. Youthink that could be the problem???I hope it is, cuz then not all is lost. I'm not depressed afterall..........I'm just bloated!! hehehehAny fun activities for this group??? Like challenges and stuff?? I'm gonnago shop at the Supermarket for all SBD stuff so I can be raring to go!!!Well that's about it I guess. I hope to join you in your weightloss successand hope we can guide each other thru the ups and downs of it all and bethere for each other when the going gets tough!! *Hugs*Tanutanu@...Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Guest guest
---Hi Tanu. Welcome! Swollen feet/ankles/legs can certainly be a sign of either water retention or high blood pressure or both. He or she may want to put you on a directic pill to help remove the water. If you have high BP they often will prescribe a directic with the HBP meds. Strange as it may seem, do continue to drink lots of water though. It's important to keep flushing your system out. The more you drink the better for this problem. I have HBP and take BP meds and directic and I have encountered this problem in the past. Increasing the amt of water you consume will only help not hurt you. Good luck... Guest guest
Not trying freak you out or anything, but swollen feet, ankles, and legs can also be symptoms of congestive heart failure. Not that I suspect that is the problem, but you really should see your doctor as soon as possible to make sure. Guest guest
I agree 100%. Feet that swell that much that fast are in need of IMMEDIATE medical attention. Been there!!! > Not trying freak you out or anything, but swollen feet, ankles, and legs > can also be symptoms of congestive heart failure.
