Guest guest
Dear Sharon, Welcome to our group. I'm speaking for us all when I say we're sorry it's under these circumstances. Loosing a pregnancy due to ectopic is such a hard thing, but just know that you can look to all of us for support and understanding ANYTIME! As for the chat, we don't have anything like that started yet, but I think that is something we are trying to get going soon. Take care and I'll be thinking about you! Guest guest
Sharon, Welcome to the group. I'm sorry for you loss, we all know your pain, unfortunately. You have found a wonderful group of women here. I don't know if I would have made it through the last few months without them. They are here for the good and especially the bad times. I also lost my right tube last August, it was a long road back, but the good news is I made it (almost anyway). As the saying goes, time heals all wounds, but I would like to add to that saying, but it also leaves a scar, that's so we never forget. I hope we can help you heal with love and support. You asked about if the group had a live chat session. I am just in the process of setting that up. I have been waiting for all the ladies to reply to my e-mail asking what day and time was best for them. It looks like I'm going set it up for Tuesday or Thursday at 9:00 p.m. I will to be forwarding the group an e-mail about this by the beginning of next week. I will also give you all instructions on how to get to the chatroom. At least I could answer one of your questions. Despite how dark everything feels right now there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My thoughts and prayers are with you! Big hugs, Jo-Ann Sharon Ezell wrote: > > Hello everyone. Guest guest
Sharon, Hi and welcome to our group. I am sorry that this the way that we all have met. I am very sorry for your loss and I know what you mean about being depressed. I think we have all been thru this but it does get better. You will never forget it but it will get better. I don't have any advice for you. I am kinda new at all this too. Never heard of ectopic pregnancy until New Year's Eve then I wished I had never heard of it. It is hard but you need to take it one day at a time. I still have both of my tubes and everything else. Don't give up. I have heard of lots of women conceiving with just one tube. I think there is some here that have too. It is hard to keep up with everyone but I try my best. Take care. Nora New Member here >Hello everyone. Guest guest
Sharon, I just wanted to welcome you to the group. This is such a hard time, and I hope that the ladies here will be of some comfort to you. Amy
Guest guest
I am alone and greatly appreciate all the mail. I feel now more at ease. It is so hard but with the letters and seeing that a lot of others are feeling the same way it helps extremely. Now I can no longer have children but I will survive. My surgery last Wed. was only to remove the fetus from my tube but when they went in they realized my tube had exploded and that some infection had started in so I am lucky to be sitting here right now. I keep crying but maybe soon that will pass also.
Guest guest
Tara, thank you so much. I am dealing with it more and more everyday and the one thing that hurts the most is being alone. I think that this group will help out a lot. I keep myself busy cleaning, cooking, crocheting and getting some seeds started for my garden but when I have nothing to do I sit and cry. All my family says is I understand how you feel. No, they don't. I hope they never do. It is like in a way I feel dirty like as if I was maybe doing something wrong to my body for this to happen to me. I am a smoker and I drink a lot of caffeine and I know those are not reasons but I can't help but to think I did something wrong somewhere somehow. I miss Ben (my ex fiance) and I can't believe that he is gone. We split up about two weeks prior to knowing about the problems I was having. I called him and he acts like it is a good thing, since we are over. I just keep thinking he will show up and help me deal with this but I know he isn't. I am crying now wondering how he can be so cold. We was together along time and he left me for some younger girl with fake breasts and fake hair and fake nails. I guess I was too normal for him. Oh well, I need to realize that he isn't worth it and I am lucky I found out about him now instead of later. But right now was just a bad time for him to leave me. See I didn't even know I was pregnant. I had been bleeding for some time now and called my obgyn and scheduled an appt. after surgery he told me if I waited any longer I could have died. That is so hard to believe. I hate going to a doctor and that day of the appt. I wasn't going to go then either but my sister came over and made me and I am so glad she did. Thanks again. Guest guest
Sharon, Welcome to our group. I am truly sorry that you have had to join us, but hope you will find comfort from all of us here. I am also minus a tube, my left one, and lost my baby at about the same gestation as you. It has been over 2 years and the one thing I can tell you is that it does get easier. But it takes time. I had to have major surgery as I was at the life threatening point. Six months later I had the hsg test you will hear about and things look good. I have been ttc for over 8 mos now, and am currently heading into attempt #9. There are a lot of ladies here who have suffered their ep more recently than me, who can probably offer a lot of good advice at this stage. One thing that is an absolute give is we all care very much. Tara New Member here Hello everyone. Guest guest
, I am so sorry that you are dealing with this by yourself. I was fortunate to have the support of my dh. But you are not truly alone bc you have all of us. We are a fairly large group with ladies at all stages of recovery, both physical and emotional. You are right that it is far better to see the true colors of a man before you marry him. Of course this does not help you to get over a broken heart, only time will help that. You sound like a lovely person and you will find someone new eventually. When are you set to go back to see your dr? It's time you had some encouraging news, and there are options out there for you. Be prepared with some questions for when you see your dr., and let us help if you need it. Tara Re: New Member here Tara, thank you so much. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Sorry it's taken so long for me to welcome you. I'm sorry for your loss, too. It's going to take a while to sort through all of the emotions you and your dh are going through right now. We have all been there so we will do whatever we can to help you both. I have made friends here and have learned a wealth of information. There are days that I don't know what I'd do without this place. Again, welcome! Guest guest
Thank you Tara. Can you tell me what some of the abbreviations stand for? I am looking forward to the great friendships I think I will have in our group. Guest guest
, Welcome, I am also . I have 4 children ages 3,10,18,21. I am 36 myself. I had a double mastectomy last month, and now am doing the chemo every 3 weeks. My first one was a cinch compared to all that I had heard. Today is a bit rough because my hair has decided to fly the coop. I don't know why that surprised me but it did. Personally I am glad you are doing chemo, it can only help in case they missed something. I don't think of it as " the bullet " though, that is negative. I consider it " weed-n-feed " for my body. Like being pregnant, all the junk you go through, at the end its worth it because of a new baby. Well for us, we go through some junk, and at the end we get a new us. With new outlooks and better perceptions of who we are . I hope you don't mind my philosophizing ( is that a word?) Keep your chin up !! Guest guest
Anne, Thanks! You're right ... having faith and staying positive are very important. I've already discovered that in spades. My weak moments are few and far between. I'm blessed to have great family, friend and church support. Now, because I joined this group, I feel even better. Support from people who have " been there " means a lot. Guest guest
Hi Sue-Anne, Sounds like we're not too far apart on our treatment schedule. I don't know anything about injections yet. I'm sure I'll learn. I'm taking my " chemo class " tomorrow. The onc nurse will teach me all about my regimen, what to expect, what to look for, etc... Do you do the neupogen injections yourself or do you go to the clinic for them? - > Hi > > My name is Sue-Anne. I am on FEC just a little different then your treatment. I had my first chemo on Sept. 10. I am also on the 21 day interval. The treatment wasn't as bad as I thought. I had a little N & V on the first evening and the next couple of days I felt kind of draggy (flu like symptoms) It is now 11 days post chemo and I don't feel bad at all. I also take injections of neupogen for 14 days post chemo. This is to keep my blood counts up. I think that it is working so far. Just remember to take your meds even if you are feeling good. If you have any questons feel free to ask. > > Talk to you Soon > Sue-Anne > New member here > > > Hi everybody. My name's and I'm 42. I joined your group about a > week ago. Guest guest
Hi , My name is Lori and I was 39 when diagnosed with similar to your pathology report. That was 3 years ago. Also my children were 7 and 9 then, just as are yours are. When I read your post, I immediately felt a connection. I had Adriamycin and Cytoxin and did pretty well through the 4 treatments. The kids lives remained pretty much the same except for their getting use to the no hair deal. That was really hard on them. Talk to the social workers at your hospital because they have lots of good ideas about how to ease the transition with the kids. Also, I let people help especially with transporting the kids to their activities. I will keep you in my prayers. Hugs, Lori > Hi everybody. My name's and I'm 42. Guest guest
Hi Lori, Thanks for the advice. My husband and I have talked with the kids and we mentioned the probability for hair loss. I have a couple of wigs ordered. We told them about that too. At this point, they think it will be kind of funny. I hope they keep that attitude! I'll laugh right along with them.
