Guest guest
The best (full fat) mayo I have ever had is from Trader Joes. It's made with soybean oil, no sugar and real eggs. Great egg(y) taste. Cook's Illustrated ( a high fallutin cooking magazine that emulates Consumer Reports - no ads and they rating of both food products and cookware ) rated it very high and here's the best part - it's only $1.99 (in my market anyways) a qt, compared to Hellman's at $2.99 (again, in my market) a qt. Re: Hi, I'm new....SUE I think Helmann's or Best mayonnaise has no sugar. It is quite easy to make your own too. Then, if you absolutely must have a "sweet" taste, add a packet of AS.TaniaAustralia
Guest guest
I thought I had seen in the book that you could have mayo in Phase 1 but not the lowfat kind. Going to find my book to see. Glad I saw this before I made the egg salad. In phase one you are not supposed to have mayo or butter, but in ... Deb B.
Guest guest
From the book: Use sparingly if they have sugar, okay to enjoy if they don't (check labels for added sugar): Salsa Hot sauce Soy sauce Worcestershire sauce Steak sauce Mayonnaise (regular or low-fat) Actually, you are better off if you have the full fat version because they add sugar to enhance the taste of the light version. Mayo is a " good fat, " so you can have it in moderation on phase I.
