Sounds like she needs small dose of a slow acting insulin, like glargine

(Lantus) which works over a 12 ->24 hour period and would cover the rise of

glucose over night, and reduce during day, in addition to any day time

insulin. Glargine is taken at night.

Speak to your diabetes nurse about this.
