I do not understand WHY this group is NOT moderated to keep junk off our message board. Are moderators needed? I'll volunteer and I've read other people complain about this garbage too, so I'm not the only one who is upset about this. Having moderated several Yahoo groups myself I know it's a big job and unless someone is prepared to man the group 24/7, catching every single idiot who posts crap like this is next to impossible. So while I too am annoyed with this kind of posting, I don't feel its necessary to tear a strip off you or any moderator for letting the odd idiot in unknowingly. I am on several other very large groups...2000-5000 and there is no way to guarantee you wont have garbage appear now and then. It will be next to impossible to approve all messages before they post...lets be rational here...who wants to sit in front of the computer and moderate without pay. It is fun for a bit but not something you can expect someone to do on a daily basis. It is unfortunate that there are idiots out there that like to do this but that is a hazard with any on-line medium. Maybe a few more moderators will help but I want to say that the mods on here have been doing a fine job so far. Keep up the good work and remember you can't watch this big of a loop 100% of the time. That means no responses, whatsoever. Most of these guys seem to derive pleasure from you responding. If no response they wander off tail between legs so to speak. That said, I do not have time to watch this list as much as I'd like to. And I have been getting complaints every now and then from members angry at these spammers. I do not wish to moderate EVERY new post. We will moderate new members, but that is only from joining.
