Lesley,

I started my son on this at 3.5 yrs. Started with 1/4 scoop and

worked up to a full scoop over about two months. He did have some

die off including a rash but after that has tolerated it well and

seems to be doing better on it.

Hi ,

Perfect Stool Formula is a pro-biotic and very helpful! My son's

stools have achieved normalcy finally (except when what appears to

be yeast flares up again, dang it).

We give enzymes for each meal and snack now (all three Houston

products), one or two Culturelle per day (one usually at night) and

PSF as often as we can manage - usually ensuring at least one amount

to at least 1/2 the suggested dosage on the container.

PSF would certainly help achieve better gut flora and therefore

better stools. Because we have not used it exclusively I can't

comment on using it alone.

Try it! It's an interesting supplement - much more earthy because

it's not packed away neatly in capsules or tablets. LOL, I love it.

Drop the rice milk for a few days, see if that helps. Rice feeds yeast.

Try rotating Culturelle with another probiotic.

Green typically means he is eating something he does not tolerate. It can also

be that he is eating something green or blue in color.

The tea is very bland-but a capsule will not hold the recommended amount to

be taken. It is preferable to drink on an empty stomach first thing in

morning or before bed. However, we have to mix it in small amount of juice

for my son to drink it. Not sure about PSF.

Re: Re: Probiotics?

How is the taste of Perfect Stool Formula? And, how about the taste of the

tea? Does anyone fill their own capsules with it? My DS can swallow pills.

Dani - Are you not ready for NCD? Why not give it a try? I've read lots of

good stuff on it.

I'm hitting my 8 year old's gastro bacteria issues of clostridia and c.

difficile with lactobacillis acidolphilus from Custom Probiotics. The GSE

I've been sneaking in his orange juice, what I have anyway, he hates the

taste and can pick it out with no problem. Sorry, can not answer any of

your questions other than my experience.

Look at Brainchild and the liquid Biocidin. I don't think it would be a

good product for you because he contains a little of a lot of stuff and

maybe sticking with a single item for reaction would work best. BTW, it

says on the bottle I quote " Not intended for use during pregnancy. "

Probiotics?

My son and I both get consitpated from probiotics like Kirkmans gold and

culterelle.

I'm thinking about starting chelation soon for my son and I want to have a

good yeast

control in order first. So.....

*Can those who don't do well on probiotics tolerate three lac?

*What the heck is biotin anyway? Is it a vitamin B? If my son does not

tolerate B's yet is it

likely biotin won't work as well?

*I may try GSE with no-fenol, do I have to give it on a full stomach. Can it

be given with

other supplements?

* GSE safe to take during pregnancy? (I probably won't take it but just

curious)

Thanks!

Dani
