LOL, ok, aside from soaps and toiletries, I have nice,

warm shoulders just made to cry on, and trust me, I'll

cry right along with you. And my boyfriend is a good

handyman to have around, especially for grunt work. I

suspect he's also hypo and we'll have the tests run

when we can afford them because he only works part

time and has no insurance. I expect we'll have to

order meds from MyRxforLess for him. I wish he could

get his adderall from there. Even the generic is $90

per month. I know there are worse meds to have to pay

for, but for him, that's pretty steep.

One reason I stopped taking prozac is because I was

tired of not having much in the way of emotions. Now

I'm a bit TOO emotional, but after explaining to my

boyfriend that sometimes I'm gonna over-react or just

gonna cry to cry, he's starting to get less paranoid

that he's done something to upset me. :o) It

absolutely tears him up to see me cry and a time or

two he's cried a little with me, although he's tried

to hide it.

I have an appointment with my doc on the 18th and I'm

hoping to talk him into running the antibodies as

well, since I've already talked him into running the

Free T3's this time. His reasoning was because

insurance might not pay for it, but when I mentioned I

wanted to know how I was converting the Synthroid, he

agreed to order the test. I'm also hoping that my

blood pressure will be down from the 180/108 it was

the last time I was in to see him. He's already

agreed to switch me to Armour after my bloodwork. If

I can get him to go ahead and run the bloodwork on the

18th, I can get the follow-up testing done within this

calendar year and my insurance decuctible will have

been met, so I won't have to pay the whole shebang.

Cool... You' guys are welcome..... we could use a general handyman!!! And warm shoulders will come in handy for the ones that are still scared. OH, gosh... I remember how scared I was...I was soooo sure that I was gonna die... I'd ask questions of my mom and other folks and they'd just blow me off, saying it was just a little pill it's not like I had surgery or anything harmful..... I looked just fine but I should be more careful about what I was eating, and exercise more, I was starting to get fat.....

*clears throught, centers thinking*

Ummm, yep... handy man, on site organic toiletries (using stuff we grow on site) and warm shoulders for crying... all good talents to have....

Part of your boyfriend's crying is him being hypo too. You should explain that to him... so that he's not thinking it unmanly to feel emotional....

I wish I could fly down to Mexico and bring back a couple of cases of thyroid to pass out to those of us without insurance and low on money. I hate having to chose between healthy food and meds.

I just started reading up on Adderall. How long has he been taking it? It's recommended that it not be taken for long periods of time.... It's an addictive amphetamine... and it's for treating symptoms that are on the list of hypo symptoms.... I'm not a doc, and I don't know everything... but is his doc prescribing this for hypo symptoms and not dealing with the hypo?

I did some wandering around.. it's not easy to find... the three stores that I check out periodically both show it as not in stock.....

I also just freaked at the price difference and MyRxforless between Armour and the Generic... Ouch... and I'm doing just fine on the genric...

Can you guys swing the cost of getting him into a Health Check lab? ( www.healthcheckusa.com ) and have his labs run there? For just the Frees and TSH it's around $75 and for a whole bunch of stuff and the thyroid stuff it's around $100... plus $12 for shipping and handling and there's a 10% discount code..

I'm selfish, I'd like to see both of you feeling better...
