At this very low dose of 45 mgs Armour, you should be raising that up starting right now, to 60 mgs, i.e., one grain. This very slow low dose scheme, while the Armour is still so low, along with your blood levels, is going to cut off your own thyroid function even more so, so that you will feel even more hypo. Once you start going past a grain or so, THEN the slower increases should come. If you started having symptoms of what you might term as "hyper", then you could always cut it back to the previous dose until your body gets used to it, then try upping it again.

Re: last test results

Yep.. still too low. How much did they say you could increase now?

After these results, he agreed to put me on 3/4 of a grain. That's what I've been on for about 4 weeks. In one more week, I see a new Dr... Armour friendly... and I hope new test results will still merit an increase, because I'm not feeling right yet.

Thanks for that inforamation! I'm very anxious to keep increasing the dose, but didn't want to do it too quickly. I was thinking that doing it again at 5 weeks might be too soon, but I'm glad to see it's not. I'm hoping to be on 1 gr this coming week. Do you go in 1/2 gr raises after that? Or 1/4 gr.??

I just hope this Dr. knows what he's doing! He came with good references, but I have to travel way out of town to get to him and don't want to be disappointed! I need someone who is willing to listen to my symptoms, not just look at one lab result. My last endo could not explain why my eyebrows were barely exsistant, even though I was supposedly on a good dose! I'm taking my 2 children with thyroid issues too.
