Hi, all,

I saw a new doctor yesterday. What a pompous A$$! Oh my gosh :(

Fresh out of residency - I thought that would be a bonus - new

ideas, maybe less concerned with actual numbers. NOT! He must have

told me 6 times that my levels were in the normal range. " It

doesn't matter which end of the range - it's still normal. " Ugh.

He strongly feels that I have sleep apnea - hmm, didn't know that

caused a goiter.

So, I'm on my own until November, when I'll be able to see yet

another doctor (I have a little bit of hope - it's a woman).

Anyway, has anyone heard of Thyax? I just ran across a link to it -

http://www.progressivehealth.com/catalog/displayitem.asp?product=2 -

it says " Thyax can help your body produce more thyroxine to

naturally stimulate your thyroid function " . One month supply is

$29.95 - any thoughts, opinions, experiences?

Thanks,

Jodi

Hey Jodi,

Taking something like that before you get decent tests to find out what is going on is just going to skew things....

Most of this type of product stimulates the gland...which can also cause problems with some conditions....

Any chance that you could give that next doc a call and politely request the tests that you want... explaining that the first doc wasn't too interested in finding out what was going on?

I know this is nuts... but I've only seen that spelling once before... a gal that I went to high school with.... didn't graduate out of Anoka, did you?
